For those information-hungry parents out there, we’ve compiled this handy guide full of quick details and facts about Haven on the Rock to help you know exactly what you need to know about your child’s stay with us, exactly when you need to know it – as early as possible! The Right Camp for Your Child

We organize our camps by grade level rather than age, always counting your child’s grade as the one they will be going into in the upcoming school year. For example, if your child just finished second grade, they would be ready for the third and fourth grade camp.

Location of Camp

Our 3rd-12th grade camps are located at our Haven on the Rock campground (formerly Rim Rock Bible Camp). The campground’s address is 560 Rimrock Road, Ft. Laramie, WY 82212.

Camp Check-in and Check-out

Primary camp in Casper- Primary camp check in is at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection (342 S Grant St., Casper, WY 82601) between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. every day. Check-out is between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.

Primary camp in Ft. Laramie (Haven on the Rock)- Primary camp check in is at the camp between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. every day. Check-out is between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.

Elementary Camps-

3rd-4th grades- Check-in begins for this camp at Haven on the Rock (560 Rim Rock Rd., Ft. Laramie, WY 82212) at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (the first day of camp) and check-out is at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday (the last day of camp).

5th-6th grades- Check-in begins for these camps at Haven on the Rock (560 Rim Rock Rd., Ft. Laramie, WY 82212) at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (the first day of camp) and check-out is at 12:00 p.m. Friday (the last day of camp).

Teenage Camps-

7th-8th grades and High School (9th-12th grades)- Check-in begins for these camps at Haven on the Rock at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (the first day of camp) and check-out is at 12:00 p.m. on Friday (the last day of camp).

Medical Staff at Camp

Every week we have at least one first aid trained volunteer on staff. These individuals are there to take care of any medical needs your child may have, from general wellness and regular medication to first aid and facilitation in medical emergencies. We also have a doctor on call in nearby Torrington who is available during emergencies.

If your child is at camp this summer and you urgently need to contact them by phone, you can do so by calling Alecia Blakeley at the camp office at 307-575-6515, or Karisa Bennett at 605-359-4402.

Mail

Campers and staff love to get mail and hear from you while they are at camp!  The easiest way to send your campers messages, is to shoot them an e-mail. Simply send an e-mail to mail@havenontherock.org with your child’s name as the subject. These will be printed and handed out with the rest of the mail. If you would like to brighten someone’s day with a package or letter, you can send your mail to:

Please send your mail by Tuesday to help ensure that your camper or staffer gets it while they’re with us. Be sure to include a return address so that we can get the mail to them in the unfortunate event it misses them at camp.

Cost of Camp

One of our key values at Haven on the Rock is maintaining a low and affordable cost for all campers. The cost of one week of camp is between $75 and $150 depending on the camp. If the cost of camp is a hindrance to you in joining us for a week of fun and adventure, you should know that there are camperships available! Please contact the camp office for more information about these opportunities.

Haven on the Rock Trading Post

Each week campers have the opportunity to visit our Trading Post where we sell candy, drinks, snacks, t shirts, hats, water bottles, and other camp memorabilia. The cost of these items is between $.50-$25.00 and is not included in the cost of camp registration.  During camp check in, if your child has extra money for these items we will collect it and put it into an account for them to access during the week.  At the end of the week we will refund what has not been used.  We do this to make sure your child’s money is safe and not being misplaced.

Rides to Camp

Rides are available for campers coming from the Casper area. For more information or to place your child on the rides list, please contact the camp office.
